FP campaign launched to raise awareness among young couples:
The government on Saturday launched a ‘National Family Planning Campaign’ across the country at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the capital, with a view to raising awareness about family planning among eligible couples.
The objective of the campaign is to help eligible married women, especially the young to seek, choose and use a suitable modern contraceptive methods for delaying, spacing or limiting pregnancies.
The campaign will be conducted at local level across the country from 2014 to 2016.
The launching ceremony of the campaign was organised by Directorate of Family Planning under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with technical support of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
