Call to increase budgetary allocation for health sector

28 May 2014 Staff Correspondent The allocation in the health sector in the country’s national budget continues to decline every year because of lack of effective coordination among the different ministries, speakers at a policy dialogue said. According to health experts, the outlay on the sector was 6.55 percent of the total budget in 2005-06 fiscal year while it has come down to 5.1 percent in 2011-12 fiscal year, they said.
